Five Facts About Me
I can’t beleive I didn’t even think how simple these memes are with tumblr (reblogging and such). This would be a bad thing if everyone started doing them. But until then…
I now present 5 random facts about me:
- I once had a letter I wrote about my middle school drama teacher read and reannacted on The Ellen Degeneres Show. It was the first year the show was on air. Only months later I stopped watching the Ellen Degeneres Show (well, and tv in general) and I haven’t acted since the role I claimed “changed my life.” :) (If you’re interested click here, then click Ellen’s bit and scroll all the way down to “The drama teacher”)
- I have a really girly, pink, flower-shaped rug that my best friend, Tamaia, gave me when we were in 4th grade. It has never matched or fit with the rest of the decor (and I’ve painted 3 times) but for whatever reason I don’t want to get rid of it. I’m convinced one day it’ll be perfect for something.
- A lot of the things I do are based on the thought process of “What could I do now that would make a great story to tell my kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews/the person interviewing me on late night television when I’m older?”
- As a kid I loved coloring books and stickers. However, I could never, ever use them. I was always afraid I’d become a better colorer and would wish that I hadn’t colored in all the good pictures. As a result I had a nice stack of uncolored coloring books. For stickers, I was certain one day I’d find a better place to stick them so I was terrfied of using them. To this day, unless I have at least 10+ stickers of one kind I will not use them.
- Not a single person knows this because not one single person has asked (and my God, I want them to!) but my car is secretly named Dashiell Jackson Jones. Dash (and sometimes Jack) for short.
Five (totally random) facts about me: This will be word-y.
- I was born in Santiago, Chile. I’ve been back three times and hope to visit a fourth time next year. It doesn’t feel like home, but wow, it is a beautiful country.
- I have always wanted to record my activities for a year like Nicholas Feltron, but I only get as far as April before I give up. I suck. Next year!
- I met NKOTB when I was 17. My friends and I were given VIP passes by a member of their entourage and when we got backstage Marky Mark (now Mark Wahlberg) & his dancers invited us to a hotel after party. We turned them down because we were too chicken shit to go anywhere alone with them. The really humiliating part is that a woman offered us a grand in cash for the passes, and we said no! Oh, what a complete dumb-asses we were.
- I am fascinated by married people. I think that’s why Woody Allen’s Husbands and Wives is my all time favourite movie. I’ve watched it countless times and I never get sick of it. Marriage looks fucking hard.
- I have never had anyone close to me die. Losing a loved one is my biggest fear and I’m terrified that I will completely fall apart when it happens.
